Obamacare in Four Sentences

Operation Obamacare(graphic credit)

By Jeff Rutherford, and an anonymous emailer

Earlier this year in July, an email circulated the internet which was a masterpiece of precision and pith:

Here are the 10,535 pages of Obama Care condensed to 4 sentences.

1.  In order to insure the uninsured, we must first uninsure the insured.

2.  Next, we must require that the newly uninsured are to be re-insured.

3.  To re-insure the newly uninsured, they must be required to pay HIGHER PREMIUMS to be re-insured.

4.  The HIGHER PREMIUMS are required so that the original insured, who became uninsured and then became re-insured must pay enough extra so that the original uninsured can be insured free of charge to them.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is called a “redistribution of wealth,” more commonly known by its real name –  SOCIALISM.

Pinocchio the DonkeyNo Republican legislators voted for Obamacare.  Not one.  This political sham was brought to you by the Progressive architects and salesmen in the Democrat Party.

Vote accordingly.

The best description of Obamacare I’ve seen yet! We now pay double for crappier insurance thanks to Obamacare.

    • Missie,

I see this struck a chord that resonates with you. Big centrally-controlled solutions that limit choices and inhibit the price feedback signals sent by dissatisfied consumers to arrogant providers are doomed to fail. If you’re so inclined (and have time outside of your graduate studies), I recommend the 1980 book “Free to Choose” by Milton and Rose Friedman. (Sheesh, that must be an OLD book if it was published the year we graduated from high school, huh?)

BTW, you and DitinOregon (the other commenter below) know each other. Either it’s a small world, or I’ve drawn together lots of smart people from my past here……or both. 🙂

Does Nancy Pelosi know what is in it now?!

    • D,
What Pelosi knows about it now makes her beam with pride. She/they dream about unrestrained government breadth and depth to enact whatever the intellectual elites deem is best for us. She freely admitted as such, right here:

Her description is quite apt. Only I have to question what it really means. Just what did they really do to get it to pass? Just how did they get John Roberts to agree to this monstrosity? How did they get everyone in their party to go along with this? How far did they bend the rules. Since everyone in the Democratic Party is in lock step, who is making their decisions? I can’t imagine she was involved in writing the bill since she needed it passed so she could find out what was in it.
