Democrats — The Party of Control: Watch Their Insiders Call You Stupid

Truth Serum(graphic credit)

By Jeff Rutherford

When a public liar then privately tells the truth, pay close attention!  Case in point:

Jonathan Gruber is an economics professor at MIT.  During 2009-2010, he collaborated with the Obama Administration to help write the legislative monstrosity known as Obamacare.  He is widely acclaimed as being “the architect” of that bill, of which he is obviously quite proud.

Mr. Gruber is also an egotistical blabbermouth whose water glass must have been spiked with truth serum at a recent Progressive panel discussion.  Watch and judge for yourself:

“This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes.  If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies. Okay, so it’s written to do that. In terms of risk rated subsidies, if you had a law which said that healthy people are going to pay in – you made explicit healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed.”

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage.  And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really really critical to getting the thing to pass. Look, I wish Mark was right that we could make it all transparent, but I’d rather have this law than not.”

Progressives aren’t honest stewards of the public trust.  They are a ruling class of condescending manipulators.  Don’t let their thirst for control of your life rob you of your freedom of choice.  Progressivism is a failed governing philosophy — let it die.

About Necessary and Proper

Jeff believes in the Individual's ability to excel when liberty and freedom of choice are protected. Also believes in the Community's ability to take care of the vast majority of its own issues and needs when the federal government leaves the Community's resources and sphere of control alone. State and local choice produce better results than centralized federal control. https://necessaryandpropergovt.wordpress.com/

That’s an amazing public confession caught on video.

    • He is SO utterly flush with pride at his achievement. He reached the Progressive pinnacle of propaganda, and he’s stutteringly euphoric in his excitement over it. That isn’t governance, it’s institutionalized deception on a mass scale.

The opium of power and a fawning audience were the only two ingredients necessary in that potent truth serum.

The bill required mendacity on the part of the democratic party, stupidity on the part of its constituents, and hubris on the part of its authors to believe that this was good law. “The best way to repeal a bill is to strictly enforce it.” Obama has tacitly admitted it by incorporating the inverse.

The Lefts’ idea of shock and awe. I think their pride in boasting goes hand in hand w/ ideology. They brag before anyone even sees the effects. As always, perception is reality to uber Libs.
